PC Programming cloning cable for the following ICOM models

• The OPC-966 is just the short black cable pictured. The extension cable is not included nor is it required to program you radio. You will need to obtain an adapter from you local radio shack that allows you to convert the DB9 serial connection on your computer to RS-232 or purchase an DB9 to RS-232 extension cable from your local computer retailer

This cable is compatible with the RS-232 serial connection. Most older computers serial connections are RS-232. Later model computers most likely are using a USB connection. There is a USB style PC programming cable available the part number is OPC-966U
